Martha Lorin: Vocals.
Martha has said that jazz is the only music field that allows her to openly express her feelings and gives her a platform to grow technically and vocally. The jazz world is rife with great musicians who share the stage they are on with all ears open, making the music that comes out a shared endeavor representing music in its most intelligent , heartfelt and musical sense. The driving force of jazz IS the music leading the player closer and closer to greatness. Martha is constantly exploring the jazz landscape with a spirit of lifting and broadening her musical acumen. Her explorations have presented the opportunity to work with a wide range of world class musicians, including, Paul Smith, Benny Green, Richard Wyands, Harvie S. Eddie Marshall, Monty Budwig, Leon Joyce, Butch Miles, and Mark Isham, to name only a few.
"The chapel at St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan was crowded for Midtown Jazz at Midday to see “Love Me Or Leave Me” – Martha Lorin’s Tribute to Ruth Etting. I heard many in the crowd saying that Martha is the best singer we’ve heard in New York in years. And I concur." Dan Singer, In Tune International, November 2011. "Martha Lorin burned with a hot blue(s) fire and a smoky sensuality at her recent appearance at Feinstein's at Lowe’s Regency. She has style to burn!" Scott Siegel---Producer/SiegelEntert
