Koffeehouse and Canadians Abroad present "A Celebration of Canadian and American Independence Day" at Harvelle's Santa Monica. Hosted by Alan Thicke, this special event will feature performances by Shawn Hook (EMI Canada), Jessarae (#1 Artist on RevebNation LA), Jane Carrey (recently featured on "American Idol") and Moi Navarro (finalist on NBC's The Sing Off).
Doors open at 7PM and there will be special surprise performances starting at 7:15PM by two of our favorite Canadian artists, Marc Robillard (7:15PM), and Carmen & Camile (7:30PM). Shawn Hook kicks things off at 8PM.

About Moi Navarro:
While growing up, music was never too far from home and a guitar was always within reach since both of his parents were singer songwriters. Moi is an independent artist in the music industry based in Los Angeles, California. Over the years Moi has gained a prominent fan base that reaches regional, statewide, nationwide, and worldwide. His diversity is more than just skin-deep, as his music is interwoven with influences of funk, rock, soul, folk and jazz. Moi’s ballads are emotional and heartfelt as they tell a story and invoke tremendous feeling, portraying sincere transparency, letting you see into his soul. Music to Moi is best described as a marriage. “Marrying a set of meaningful lyrics with an intense, unique and beautiful melody is the key to a great song”.
Moi has earned a massive grassroots following through hard work, determination, and consistent touring throughout the years. Moi continues to grow, and is blessed that through every stage people have been touched and encouraged by his music. He reaches a wide spectrum audience with his passionate music, straight-forward lyrics, and unique stories. Being able to communicate with others how he feels inside through his music comes second nature to him, it just flows.
